Sunshine Yogis have a range of classes specifically designed for your child whatever their age.
Our classes are more than just physical movement, co-ordination and flexibility. We focus on giving children the tools to help them manage their emotions, health and well being through fun and creative activities. Delivered through a variety of themes that are a combination of fun and calm. All of our classes end with breathing and relaxation.
Scientific evidence suggests that mindfulness helps improve attention, self control, emotional resilience and memory in young children.
Our classes follow a similar structure as it has been proven the repetition helps children learn and develop the skills.
Our Sun Beams classes are designed for preschool children aged 2 - 4 years, providing an introduction to yoga through songs, nursery rhymes, stories and play.
During each class we will go on a new adventure specially designed to stimulate creativity and imagination, help refine motor skills and balance as well as teaching the children mindfulness skills so they can embrace calmness.
Sun Rays classes are for key stage 1 children aged 4-7. Students will focus on getting to know how much fun yoga can be through practising mindfulness techniques and exploring yoga poses.
Classes are designed to help children gain confidence in themselves and learn calming techniques so they can use them in real life situations. The activities are designed to improve the children's social skills through team work and encourage communication as well as improve co-ordination, good posture and build strength.
Sun Light classes are for children in key stage 2 aged 7 - 11. Our fun filled classes are specifically designed to help students learn techniques to build confidence, encourage imagination and creativity as well as improve concentration and focus skills.
Activities and games focus on building teamwork, compassion, kindness and positive body awareness. Mindfulness will be themed around teaching the children to relieve stress and reduce anxiety.
